ABOUT ME
I am a professional ADHD Parent Advocate Coach & Certified Life Academic Success Coach with specialization in creating low stimulating home environments, coaching parents to be advocates for their children, while helping them see the world through their child’s eyes. I believe everyone has a story that only they can write. I encourage parents to empower their children to write their own story. These are every day practices in my own home that I use to empower my preteen who was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 5. He strives everyday to write his own story.
When I was 37 years old I was medically diagnosed with ADD (attention deficit disorder), I spent most of my young adult life being treated for depression & anxiety. As a child growing up, my parents never noticed any behavioral challenges, but school work was always a challenge for me. I can recall many nights of doing homework and sitting at the kitchen table crying because it seemed as the material from the school day just didn’t stick in my brain. When I entered into college, I began advocating for myself. I received special services to help with my test anxiety, I hired a tutor and explained my learning challenges to each of my professors. In 2008 despite my learning challenges, I received my bachelors of science degree with a minor in organizational behavior from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
As a lifelong learner, I continue to explore educational opportunities to grow as a coach and to enhance the lives of children and parents. My heart and passion are to use my wisdom and experiences to help parents successfully navigate their lives and achieve the goals they have set for their children.
